AGARTALA, Aug 10 (TIWN): Hundreds of unemployed youths who were agitating and demanding recruitment were arrested in Tripura for protesting at the Secretariat.
The agitating youths were job aspirants of the Health Department followed by 7 years of no recruitment. In 2015 the last recruitment was held and in 2017 there were 791 recruitment under process but the BJP Govt which promised to give 50,000 Govt jobs in a year had canceled all the 791 posts recruitment and since then no recruitment of the ANM, MPW was held. Right now, totally the retiring employees, there are around a thousand vacant posts for ANM, MPW.
After not receiving proper response from the Health Director, the unemployed youths had gheraoed the Secretariat. Then police arrested all of the agitating job aspirants.
The arrested unemployed youths slammed the Govt for snatching their rights to employment as well as the right to protest.
