Addressing the occasion, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said, like every year this year also World Indigenous Day is being observed by GMP.

Chowdhury informed that a letter will be written to the President of India who is a tribal and Modi Govt is advertising its Govt as pro-tribal with the President’s image.

In the letter demands on increasing ADC’s power, the inclusion of Kokborok in the 8^th schedule of the constitution, Forest right act’s proper implementation will be placed.
