Mask Penalty Resumed in Tripura amid Rising Covid Cases

AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): With the rising Covid-19 cases, fines linked with violation of Covid protocols have returned in the state of Tripura.
On Sunday, the mask enforcement department imposed fines on the citizens who did not wear masks.
Talking to the officials, they said, 70% of the population is following the Covid guidelines but not everyone is obeying the laws led them to take action as the Covid cases are uprising.
It was caught on camera that a section of people countered heavy arguments with the officials on mask use.
