AGARTALA, January 8 (TIWN): CPI (M) state committee expressed serious concern over the recent political developments in the state, despite that congress became very weedy and unpredictable for the common people. Party state committee analyzed the political situation and found that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) increasing their progress very hastily. Same way their associates RSS backed wings like the VHP, Hindu Jagran Manch, klayan Asram etc are also coming up very rapidly in Tripura. The Rashtriya Swamsevak Sangha (RSS) had no role in the Independence of India, CPI (M) state general secretary Bijan Dhar said.

“Policies of the previous UPA government and the NDA government are but two sides of the same coin”, he said adding that RSS has been guiding the new government at centre to escalate divisive policies on communal grounds.

“RSS holds the dark history of betraying the Indians before Independence, joining hands with the colonial rulers, helping in identifying revolutionaries”, he said.

He criticized the decision of the BJP government in limiting benefits of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MG NREGS) by restricting it to ‘backward blocks’ and said that the decision would leave cascading effect on the livelihoods of poor people across the country.

Tripura has been best performer in implementing NREGS for the past several consecutive years. The state was awarded for three consecutive years as well.

CPI (M) state general secretary Bijan Dhar further attacked the NDA government and said that restricting the NREGS has already started making an impact on the national scenario.

Tripura was granted barely Rs. 660 crore in its current labour budget out of which Rs. 180 crore was released till date. States like West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat etc were already released 80-88 percent of their labour budget amounts, he added.

The BJP is trying to reforming in Tripura to disturb the peaceful situation of the state. BJP is also threat for communal harmony.

He stated that the BJP had been active for quite some time under the shadow of Banabasi Kalyan Asaram, RSS and like others. But recently BJP shaped position in various parts of the state. It may create communal disturbances in the state. He warned people to stay aware of any conspiracies of such nature.

He also said that separatist organization like IPFT, NCT, INPT and others are also trying to create problems in the state. Bijon Dhar criticized the activities of Congress, Tripura Progressive Grameen Congress, Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress and other political opponents.

He also said that the party constrained the target for formation of non congress non BJP alternative secular alliance government in center and for the interest of common people and for that that party is in struggle field.
