UDAIPUR, January 7 (TIWN): Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik today inaugurated five day long the Udaipur Book Fair 2015 here at Sports Complex , Chhanaban. At around 3.45pm the Minister inaugurated the Book Fair. MLA Madhab Saha and MLA Pranajit Singha Roy remained present as Special Guests.

Secretary of Tripura Publishers Guild Subhabrata Deb, noted Story writer Dr BrajaGopal Roy were present as Guest of Honour. Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Chairperson Smt Manika Das presided on this programme. 
        The five day long Udaipur Book Fair 2015 is being  organized by Udaipur Municipal Council . This year 29 stalls were installed. Everyday the stalls will remain open from 3pm to 8pm. On every evening various types cultural programmes, seminars, social awareness campaigns will be taken part by the organizers. 
       Speaking on this occasion Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik," Book Fair is important in that sense as it creates attention of the readers towards books. It is a matter of hope that after four years book fair is being organized at Udaipur. But there is no place for complacency. It has to be ensured that the Book Fair is organized each and every year." 
         However, on the inaugural day the face of the organizer was saved by the school students. Almost all the schools broke up after 5th period and sent students to the inaugural programme of the Book Fair. But after 4.25pm the entire book fair complex seemed to look like an empty ground.
