AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Saturday lashed out at the BJP over its poll rigging culture and its massive attempts of false voting, threatening voters in the last held by-polls in four constituencies of Tripura on 23rd June. Addressing a party program in Agartala, Manik Sarkar said, “It was not a Vote. It was a robbery of votes. Some people still could cast votes and many could not. So many voters took many attempts to cast votes but could not cast finally. Many voters were injured in their attempt to cast votes. Voters were attacked on votingday's night hours. What was BJP’s attempt from the beginning? It was said told the daily workers that after vote casting BJP will know who has voted for whom and then whether they will get their pending wages or not, it will be decided”. Sarkar further slammed the Govt over Rs. 85 for kerosene price and the crisis of kerosene in ration shops.
“People are bound to roam every day in ration shops but they are not given essential things. In the name of ration shops, scams are going on. Some ration dealers are carrying multiple dealerships which are illegal and people are walking miles to get ration in rural areas but returning home without receiving ration”, said Sarkar.
Manik Sarkar further asked people to come out against the goonda-raj of the BJP.
