AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Amid massive poll rigging, in a major success, booth capturing was totally avoided in this by-poll in Tripura due to Election Commission’s strict order to install webcasting and video recording the polling booths, but as per sources Tripura Police DGP’s role is heavily doubtful as police personnel, paramilitary forces were removed from many sensitive zones. However, voters were prevented, and beaten up but the Voters this time have fought back the rigging and at least 50% of genuine voters could cast votes amid intimidation. For some BJP goons, Fake Voters this poll turned into horror as many BJP workers were caught redhanded.

In Agartala-6 constituency, EVMs malfunctioned led the voters to wait in the queue for hours.

Tripura by-polls were held in four constituencies : 1) 8-Town Bordowali, 2) 6-Agartala, 3) Surma, 4) Jubaraj Nagar. Poll results to be declared on June 26th.
