AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Samir Saha, a police official was critically injured after BJP workers attacked him with a sharp knife.

Samir Saha went to polling booth at Agartala-6 constituency to cast votes with his family. BJP hooligans initially requested them to leave the area.

But Samir Saha said he will cast vote. Immediately, he was attacked with a knife. Nobody has been arrested in this entire incident.

Tripura by-poll is going on under total rigging, voters are prevented to cast votes like Municipal poll.

At Surma constituency, candidate was also attacked when attempted to cast votes.
