AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): First time in Tripura’s history, a candidate with injury marks have campaigned for by-polls. Sudip Roy Barman, Congress by-poll candidate for Agartala-6 constituency was brutally attacked by BJP goons in presence of Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Sunday night but even after having all evidences nobody was arrested in this case. On Tuesday, Sudip Roy Barman faced media though Doctor did not permit him to go out of hospital. His family members accompanied him during the poll campaigning.
On Monday Congress had lodged an FIR against Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
Briefing media, Barman said how the entire incident took place and how in presence of Minister Sushanta Chowdhury Barman was attempted to be murdered.
Congress also organized a bike rally participated by both candidates Asish Saha and Sudip Barman for Bordowali and Agartala-6 constituency.
