AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Congress party leaders met CEO Kiran Gitte demanding necessary actions to prevent Goondaraj of BJP, demanding action against hooligans who are spreading violence ahead of pre-polls.

Congress moved to CEO after Congress by-poll Agratala-6 candidate Sudip Barman was attacked by BJP miscreants at Abhoy Nagar on Monday. 

BJP miscreants in presence of Police and Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and BJP Agartala-6 candidate Ashok Sinha attacked Congress candidate Sudip Roy Barman at Abhay Nagar after he reached the spot where a Congress party worker was attacked by BJP miscreants by entering his home at night. Amid repeated requests, the Election Commission has failed to bring control over the violence and attacks on the opposition. 

Minister Sushanta Chowdhury was caught in camera with the goons and footages also are viral how in front of Sushanta Chowdhury, the goons were attacking him.

Total 18 persons’ names have been traced in the attack including candidate of BJP at Agartala-6 constituency Ashok Sinha.

Congress has lodged FIR and demanded immediate arrest of all the culprits.
