AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): Congress on Monday had gheraoed East Agartala Police station demanding arrest of Minister Sushanta Chowdhury immediately. The demand was raised after Sushanta Chowdhury along with his goons attacked Sudip Roy Barman at Abhoy Nagar after Barman reached there to save his party worker’s family. Reportedly, around 50 BJP goons held an attack at Congress member Pritviraj Goswami’s house. The goons attacked Pritviraj’s father Alok Ranjan Goswami. Getting information, Sudip Roy Barman rushed to the spot and then the goons attacked him too.
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury was caught in camera with the goons and footages also are viral how in front of Sushanta Chowdhury, the goons were attacking him.
Total 18 persons’ names have been traced in the attack including candidate of BJP at Agartala-6 constituency Ashok Sinha.
Congress has lodged FIR and demanded immediate arrest of all the culprits.
