The area is populated by the Reang community people mostly. Locals said the area has been in grip of a water crisis for years. Before a few years although pipeline water systems had started, for years these are also left in non-functional condition.

DWS Dept also does not provide water regularly and if they provide, it is a very low quantity.

Villagers have demanded a permanent solution to their problems.
