AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): Accusing BJP Vice President Patal Kanya Jamatia for grabbing at least Rs. 15 lakhs from common men in the name of NRC case filed in SC before she joined BJP, Tipra Motha party leader Animesh Debbarma on Friday clarified that in the recently held protests against Patal Kanya Jamatia, Tipra Motha has no roleplay. Slamming BJP’s allegation that Tipra Motha attacked Patal Kanya Jamatia, Animesh Debbarma said, “How come BJP knows that the agitators are Tipra Motha supporters ? They were not carrying any flag of Tipra Motha. Infact, I have seen in a video that one of the agitators was saying that Patal Kanya Jamatia took hefty amounts from them in the name of NRC’s case in Supreme Court and her foreign visit for Tiprassa community. Now people are demanding their money back”, said Animesh Debbarma.

Animesh Debbarma further asked, how can a BJP leader get so much of security without holding any constitutional post, when elected MLAs, leaders are deprived of minimum facilities, escorts ?

Talking about BJP MP Rebati Tripura’s statement, Animesh Debbarma said, “Nobody had threatened him but if anything such happened why don’t police take action ? Rather, Rebati Tripura called for capturing the Rajbari palace”.
