AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Reportedly, 2 bikes were stolen by thieves under Airport Jurisdiction. Honda Shine register No- TR015966 was stolen from bike owner Jayanta Ghosh’s resident at Usha Bazar and the other bike Pulsar register number- TR01AR7046 was stolen from Gandhigram Fair Ground, and the bike owner identified as Nishi Kanta Sarkar.
After the theft incident 2 separate cases were filed at Airport PS. Based on this Police led a search operation under various areas and recovered the 2 bikes. One bike was recovered from Teebaria Border and the other bike was recovered from Madhupur area with the help of Madhupur PS Police.
Despite recovering the bikes the police of Airport PS could not arrest any thief. It is known that the bikes were stolen for the purpose of smuggling to Bangladesh but they could not do that.
However, the recovered bike was handed over to the owner today. The entire details were briefed by a Police official.
