As per the sources, the smuggler is connected to various kins of smuggling including cosmetic smuggling.

On Monday night when Billal Mia along with his smuggler-gang was trying to transfer some items illegally via the fencing area, BSF jawans chased them and when they tried to escape from the spot, Billal Mia was injured by BSF firing.

He was taken to Sonamura hospital and then referred to GB hospital.
