AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): Congress’s Bordowali constituency by-poll candidate, resigned BJP MLA MLA Asish Saha during door to door campaigning for the upcoming by-poll on June 23rd, has slammed four years BJP Govt for its total failure to address the waterlogging problems of the city. Addressing media, Asish Saha said, “BJP in last four years has failed to end the waterlogging problems of the city. Instead of diminishing the problem, the crisis had taken a bigger shape. I was talking to the voters of the constituency. They mentioned how miserably they have faced waterlogging problems as houses were flooded after few splashes of rain. It was indeed a record-breaking waterlogging”.
“Crores of funds came to the state for SMART City. The sacked CM (Biplab Deb) time to time told people about solving waterlogging problems and how Govt was investing to end the water logging problem but nothing happened and the problem has mounted up”, added Saha.
“The BJP Govt has looted the people in last four years. Though I was associated with the party but I failed to solve the issue as no masterplan which is pending from Left Govt’s time was not taken up by the BJP Govt too. People are resented with the previous Govt and very frustrated of the incumbent BJP Govt”, said Asish Saha.
