AGARTALA, January 6 (TIWN): The Final Electoral Rolls of the 60 Assembly Constituencies was officially published today. Through a Press Release issued by Information and Cultural Affairs Department, Govt of Tripura Addl Chief Electoral Officer D Modak informed about this publication.

He said that this year the total number of voters enlisted in the Final Electoral Roll is 22,22,764 . Out of it 12,33,626 are male voters and 11,89,138 are female.  The total number of new voters registered in the Final Electoral Roll is 38,639 with an increase of 1.62%. Speaking to TIWN Addl Chief Electoral Officer said," This year 100% voters have been covered under Electoral Photo Identity Card(EPIC) and Photo Electoral Rolls."

      It is to be mentioned here that on 15th October 2014 the Draft of the Electoral Roll was published. In the Draft the total number of registered voter was 23,84,125; out of which 12,14,674 were male voters and 11,69,451 were female voters. In the Final Electoral Roll a total of 38,638 new voters have been increased. And out of this 18952 are male voters 19687 are female. The rate of increase of male and female voters respectively is 1.56% and 1.68%. The ratio of voter to population is 631. And the ratio of  voter to gender is 964.

      Interesting feature of the Final Photo Electoral Roll is that the total number of new voters between age group of 18-19 years are 31969. And out of this 19314 are male voters and 12655 are female.
