AGARTALA, April 22 (TIWN): Former BJP MLA Asish Saha who joined BJP before 2018 poll and soon turned vocal against Biplab Deb Govt’s Dictatorship had resigned from BJP on February with Sudip Roy Barman. Now, the by-polls will be held on those seats along with another MLA Asish Das who had joined Trinamool.
Congress has met the Election Commissioner of India seeking free and fair poll should be held, whereas in a press meet Asish Saha said, Congress sought free and fair poll as no free and fair poll held in Tripura after 2018.
Saha said, either by-poll or panchayat election, no poll happened without rigging.
These upcoming by-polls are crucial in Tripura keeping the 2023 poll ahead.
