AGARTALA, March 22 (TIWN): With the Assembly Elections in 5 states are over and BJP got satisfactory results, petrol, diesel prices are again heating up. On Tuesday, petrol, diesel prices were seen at up. The petrol price was Rs. 98.98 whereas the Diesel price recorded Rs. 86.36. A petrol pump owner said, “After 5 months the rate has increased. Approximate 80 paisa has increased per fuel. This is probably happening because of war ongoing at Russia and Ukraine”. Petrol and diesel prices were on Tuesday hiked by 80 paise a litre while domestic cooking gas prices were increased by Rs 50 per cylinder. Simultaneously, the price of a non-subsidised LPG cylinder has been increased to Rs 949.50 for each 14.2-kg bottle in the national capital.
