Agartala, January 4 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister of Tripura- Late Sudhir Ranjan Majumder was remembered across the state on his 5th death anniversary today. The Congress leaders, workers and supporters observed his death anniversary with full dignity in Tripura.
As part of the state-wide observance, Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leaders and workers today paid floral tribute to the memory of former chief minister at Congress Bhavan in Agartala.
The TPCC leaders including working president- Ashis Saha, MLA Jitendra Sarkar, Mahila Congress president- Kalyani Roy, convener of Congress Seva Dal- Sukhamoy Saha and many others remained present during the observance of his death anniversary.
Speaking to media personnel, Ashis Saha said, “He had lived his daily livelihood in a normal way and tried to be with the people of the state always. Cutting across from all caste and religion, he helped all the people equally. He never believed on groupism and never staged any retaliated activities to the other political parties”, Saha added. Bsides, Saha urged the people of the state to display his mindset and morality towards the society.
On the other hand, all the district level, block level and Panchayat level Congress committees have remembered the former chief minister- Late Sudhir Ranjan Majumder with full honour on his 5th death anniversary and paid tribute to his memory.
