AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): Centering the Women’s Day on 8th March All India Democratic Women Association organised a protest rally raising various issues at Kalachara under Sabroom sub-division.
While addressing the programmes, CPIM MLA Prabhat Chowdhury said that under the leftist regime women enjoyed more freedom and respect in Tripura which left no more under BJP era. The leader slammed over unfulfilled BJP’s 299 Promises and said the BJP Govt promised to provide 200 days MNREGA works at Rs 340 but now it has seen the poor people do not get work more than 30-40 days work.
While delivering speech the CPI-M leader said that this Govt’s (BJP) longevity is only 12 months if the correct time election happens. The leader also said under leftist Era Poor women in groups rushed at Banks to withdraw REGA money which now is not seen.
