AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): Tripura Police who have been repeatedly failed to take action against bike-gang, helmet gangs for conducting violence state-wide, have now arrested unemployed youths who came to the Secretariat to meet CM Biplab Deb seeking recruitment of all TET qualified youths together as the recruitment has been paused due to Govt’s intentional delay and many qualified people are no more eligible to sit in TET exams. The unemployed youths did not violate the law and just were showing a banner peacefully. Initially, they did not raise any slogan but on being asked, an on-duty police officer desperately lied before media that the unemployed youths sat on the road. The arrested youths raised the slogan “Tripura Govt Hay, Hay”.
The job aspirants wanted to meet the Chief Minister Biplab Deb with their demand of ‘recruitment of all TET qualified’ at a time, but they were not allowed to enter the Secretariat and police allegedly harassed them. Recently, Ratan Lal Nath said that by March around 2500 teachers to be recruited but TET qualified teachers' are 3,600 in numbers; if not recruited now, then many will become overage. Moreover, when teachers’ crisis prevails in the state, why can’t the Govt recruit more thousand teachers who are qualified as it will benefit both the unemployed youths and also the schools which are suffering due to heavy teachers’ crisis ?
Earlier also, the job aspirants wanted to meet the Chief Minister many times but no appointment was given to them. The youths had displayed their application which was submitted seeking CM’s appointment but they never got the appointment.
