AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): The pensioners are being deprived of getting minimum Govt facilities, raising various demands the Pensioners Association placed Deputation to DM on 9 points demand.
The demands raised, to pay 28% arrears DA immediately, the Home Guard Pensioners who are receiving Rs 750 only will have to increase their monthly pension from Rs. 750 to a minimum of Rs. 10,000. At least one educated unemployed person from the family of pensioners and senior citizens will have to arrange a government job or to arrange a source of income.
Demands raised that Pensioners will have to pay a minimum monthly medical allowance of Rs 2000 instead of Rs 500 as Rs 500 is very less medical allowance for the pensioners. The amount of gratuity of pensioners should be increased to 20 lakhs. . In case of Additional Pension (Booster) of pensioners, the age limit should be reduced from 80 years to 75 years.
The pensioners Association raised demand that in the interest of the farmers of the state, a cold store to be set up in each sub-division for storage of agricultural products. To pay similar pensions like other state government employees to the Retired employees of PSUs prior to 01/08/2018.
