AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): An active member of BJP Party was allegedly beaten up brutally by another party member, incident took place in Banikya Chowmuhani area.

Reportedly, Chandan Rishi Das was allegedly beaten up by Ajit Dhar, Vijay Dutta, Tilak Das, Sujit Das, Aman Debbarma, and Ratan Dey on Wednesday night. Hearing Chandan’s screams, the neighbours rushed to the spot. Noticing them the miscreants fled away from the spot.

The accused are all known to be active members of the BJP party. The miscreants have established a reign of terror in the whole area, and reportedly the Mondol committee failed to control them. As a result, the ground-level workers of the BJP Party are often attacked by the higher-level party workers.

However, Chandan Rishi Das despite filing a case at the local  PS, the Police yet not have taken an active role.
