AGARTALA, Jan 22 (TIWN): On Saturday morning three brothers Jiten Das, Shiten Das and Litan Das from same family are on the way to bring fish from Dumboor area like every day. On the way the three brothers were brutally beaten up by miscreants and Shiten Das was killed on spot by beating severely. The two brothers Jiten Das and Litan Das were shot by miscreants and now both the injured brothers Jiten Das are undergoing treatment at GB Hospital and Litan Das is now getting treatment at Gomoti District Hospital in critical condition.

Reportedly, the 3 brothers are residents of Jatanbari area in Amarpur sub-division.

Centering the incident TMC steering committee member Subal Bhowmik condemned the incident and said that the law and order deteriorated extremely and demanded the matter must be investigated and to take stern steps against the criminals.

TMC demanded Rs 20 lakhs should be given as compensation to the demise family and Rs 5 Lakhs for the injured.
