AGARTALA, 22 (TIWN): Lok Adalat was organized in all district and sub-divisional court premises state-wide. A total of 19,405 cases will be taken up in 66 benches for disposal. The Court is set to hear cases related to motor vehicle accident compensation cases, traffic invoices, resolving criminal cases, pre-litigation disputes related to bank loans, unpaid bills of telecom corporations, check bounce cases and various other civil cases.
Total 3,226 cases related to bank loan repayment, 268 cases under MACT, 10,818 cases related to traffic invoice, 84 cases related to land disputes, 1613 cases related to unpaid bills of Telecommunication Corporation, 2757 cases related to compromising criminal disputes, 142 cases of marital disputes, 440 cases related to check bounce and 58 cases related to other civil cases will be taken up for disposal today.
The special opportunity to settle traffic cases can be availed by depositing 50% of the minimum fine in the Court.
The work of Lok Adalat was already started at 10 am on Saturday. The state government's COVID protocol will be followed by maintaining social distance inside and outside the court and wearing a mask is mandatory for all those who will come to take part.
