AGARTALA, Jan 20 (TIWN): Prior to the 2018 Assembly Poll, BJP in Vision Document ensured to provide clean drinking water to every household in Tripura but the reality shows horrible situation in remote areas. Shortage of drinking water paralysed remote areas livelihood. Amid Vision Document’s promise to ensure drinking water to every household in the state, Tripura’s Common people in remote areas are suffering from acute drinking water scarcity. Such a shortage of drinking water again noticed in Manirampur Bhaskar Para of Ratanpur ADC Village under Hrishyamukh Block. With demand for drinking water the villagers on Thursday blockade roads with pitchers and buckets to show protest.
However, there is no doubt people in remote areas have been deprived of all facilities, drinking water scarcity in remote areas is also nothing new in the state. Acute drinking water crisis hits among villagers in rural areas.
The government who remains busy in delivering fabricated speeches on stage of various developments has done under BJP governance. If development has really been done in the state according to BJP leaders then why do people from remote areas often protest for basic needs?
