AGARTALA, Jan 20 (TIWN): A farmer's family blocked the road at the main gate of Konaban Shitakhla ONGC in Bishalgarh sub-division. Reportedly, due to cutting the soil of that hill, the vegetable fields Pradeep Pal are completely covered with sand. As a result, Pradeep Pal's vegetable crop of three to four lakh rupees was ruined.

The farmer was then assured by the ONGC company that he would get the compensation within a few days. But even though the ONGC project is nearing completion, the farmer was not compensated.

After waiting for long two months, today he along with his family blocked the road on Thursday.

The farmer and his family have said that they will not allow any ONGC vehicle to enter until they get the money.
