AGARTALA, Jan 12 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Wednesday while addressing media on Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary at Agartala Rajnagar office, said that BJP although celebrates Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary but the BJP members never obey Vivekananda’s ideology. “There was no room for hatred in Swami Vivekananda’s ideology. It is true he took his own religions to the international level but Vivekananda’s never carried any criticism against other religions".
"Vivekananda said Country is first and feeding all the people, even the animals should be the main priority. He dreamt of a nation free from hunger, poverty”, added Sarkar.
“But today the Govt has sold off the nation and to divert the issue, now creating divisions among all religions. I think, to fulfill Vivekananda’s dream, youths really have to be united and the movement for equality must be continued”, said Sarkar.
