AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has slammed the BJP led State and Central Govts for misusing the power and taking all credits of the previous Govt’s project. At the same time, various projects are pending which started from the Left Govt's time, said Manik Sarkar.
Manik Sarkar revealed how the blueprints of various projects were made after research and foundation stones were laid but today many planned projects are pending even after having the double engine Govt.
Manik Sarkar also slammed PM Modi for his politically biased statement against the then Left Govt, where Modi claimed: “The Left Govt was Govt of BHOSTACHAR”.
“Can I ask the PM who is behind the Airport which you have inaugurated yesterday? At that time Kolkata-Agartala flights were the highest in number. Then with our effort, Tripura became the second busiest Airport and in land acquisition, we kept the entire matter with humanitarian gestures", said Sarkar.
"No development was held under the Double Engine Govt but how can the PM claim that ? Tripura's infrastructure is lacking maintenance, pending projects are yet to be touched. Left Govt had planned 8 National Highways, fought for Railways too", added Sarkar.
