AGARTALA, Dec 14 (TIWN): Widespread cannabis field destroyed by Madhupur Police based on secret information.

Based on information from secret sources, Madhupur police conducted a joint operation with BOP BSF, TSR, and with Bishalgarh Forest Department team and destroyed cannabis plants in various areas under Madhupur PS.

The police destroyed cannabis plantations in 47 areas including Madhupur Daspara, Noabari, Bhatibari, Radhanagar, Konaban, Kaiyadepa and Harihardola etc.  

Madhupur Police Station OC Tapas Das said around 1.5 lakh cannabis plants were destroyed in the operation. He also added that the anti-cannabis campaign will be continuing in the coming days.
