AGARTALA, Dec 5 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister, Opposition leader Manik Sarkar while addressing a party programme in Agartala said, “It is not a shocking incident that Tripura Chief Minister is lying and denying poll rigging. When the Prime Minister himself is lying, how can one expect truth from a CM? It is a shame no election was held in Tripura fairly since 2018 and fake investigations are giving clean-chit to the criminals. When victims are going to the police station to lodge an FIR, the attackers are found having tea, biscuits with the Police officials. Then instead of getting justice, the victims are being rebuked there in the police station. I still say they (BJP) are weak".
"People are misunderstanding their violence as their strength but it is not strength. They are very weak and know that they have no public support. It’s the reason why common men were not allowed to cast votes”, Sarkar said.
Manik Sarkar further asked his party members to bring out the common men of home to protest against the Govt as the people resented on the Govt.
“Only protests in Agartala will not be enough. Time is running out”, the Marxist leader told party members.
