AGARTALA, Nov 27 (TIWN): Trinamool Congress has expressed extreme resentment over the role of the Returning Officer (RO) saying the returning office that is the SDM is directly working for the BJP party.
"It is extremely unfortunate and unconstitutional. Election Commission is an autonomous body and here the State Election Commission utterly failed to uphold its power", said Trinamool MP Sushmita Dev.
The statement from TMC came after TMC's counting agents' names submission with 36 numbers of people as per the decision, suddenly BJP has submitted 500 workers names and the DSM allegedly accepted heavy pressure on him to issue their passes.

"How can CRPF play the role when 500 people only from BJP will be present. It is clear that the Returning officer is directly working for the BJP. But, we are not leaving the ground and expecting attacks, we are ready to fight back", said Sushmita Dev.
"Trinamool respects the people who cast vote for Trinamool and for the, Trinamool will go even though everyone knows how rigging had destroyed the free and fair process of the poll", said Sushmita Dev, TMC MP.
