AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): Pre-Poll violence, hooliganism of BJP remains unseen by the Election Commission in Tripura amid Supreme Court’s warning. BJP MLA Surajit Datta who gave mob-violence instigating speech by openly asking the BJP workers to attack the opposition candidates has remained without receiving any notice issued by the State Election Commission. CCTV footage has shown that BJP workers are removing opposition party flags in Ramnagar at night. Similar footage was seen in Agartala where Govt of Tripura’s vehicle was taking away TMC’s flags but not a single incident was investigated or brought under State Election Commission’s notice. CCTV footage recently revealed various attack incidents also in night hours by ruling party goons but police failed to take any action even after the Supreme Court asked the Govt for free and fair election.
Ramnagar MLA Surajit Datta has allegedly launched severe attacks on the opposition party workers. A senior woman candidate of the TMC by holding a press meet had brought allegations against MLA Surajit Datta.
The level of poll violence and rigging which is going on in Tripura has been unseen for the people here before 2018.
