AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Nov 14 (TIWN): “No courtesy, No mercy, just attack TMC candidates “, BJP MLA Surajit Datta incited mob violence, attacks against TMC candidates in Municipal Poll, that too in front of CM Biplab Deb. This is not the first ever violent statement but earlier BJP MLAs like Arun Bhoumik, Biswabandhu Sen and many others delivered mob-violence instigating statements which resulted in massive violence in the state. Recently Ramnagar BJP cell organized a press meet claiming that TMC and CPI-M’s allegation over pre-poll violence are untrue but when MLAs are instigating hatred in the society just to win election, what is the actual situation, it can be realized. Moreover, the statement came when the Supreme Court of India directed the Govt of Tripura to organize a Free and Fair Poll.
However, recently CM Biplab Deb in a programme openly said that Courts do not rule the state but he himself is the Supreme Power and police will not arrest anyone unless he permits and Court order will not be enough to arrest anyone because Biplab Deb is the Police Minister. In front of CM, Surajit Datta’s such statement has proven that the Govt does not have any respect for the constitution and the Supreme Court amid puppet roles being played by the State Election Commission and Police hierarchy.

The BJP MLA Surajit Datta who came from Congress background has been controversial and he does have one hand which is not by birth and due to a dark history.
BJP party in Tripura under Biplab Deb remained a platform for criminalis and so even after 72 hours of Supreme Court’s order, there is no curb on the violence. Only on TMC 10 attacks took place and 9 FIRs were lodged so far. Same condition is of the Left candidates throughout the state.
Election Commission however has not given any reaction to BJP MLA Surajit Datta’s statement.
