Agartala, Dec 26 (TIWN): Someday, the Tripura Police will bag a position in national level under the leadership of respective police officers, said DGP (In-charge)- K. Nagaraj in a programme at CID Complex in AD Nagar, here today.
Speaking in the programme, “The investigation officers should keep patience till the completion of investigation in any case”, said Nagaraj. Besides, he urged the police officers to be responsive to do the best.
Laying importance on the conclusive physical evidences, “The investigation officers should give importance to the physical evidences in course of collecting materials from the place of occurrence to avoid hostile during the trial”, said Nagaraj. These physical evidences help to finish the trial procedure at earliest and to identify the accused persons accordingly, he added.
To mark the Police Week going to be held from January 3 to 8, next, a competition in two-day Tripura State Police Duty Meet- 2014-15 among different police units on their professional efficiencies in investigation was organized by the CID at CID Complex. Altogether 41 officers ASI to Inspector rank participated in the event. Among them, the seven winning officers will be sent to national level competition.
The six events of the competition are; Investigation/collection of evidences, Handling/labeling/packing, developing finger print, observation, photography and casting of foot prints.
DGP (In-charge)- K. Nagaraj inaugurated the event by cutting ribbon while the welcome address was delivered by the Superintendent of Police (CID)- Sanjoy Roy.
Besides, Inspector General of Police (Law and Order)- Anurag Dhankar, IGP (police control)- Nepal Das, DIG (Southern Range)- Uttam Majumder and many other police officials attended the Police Duty Meet today.
