AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): On being asked by the media to comment over Bangladesh centric ongoing issue since an attack on minority in Bangladesh, Trinamool Congress leader Sushmita Dev on Thursday has refused to utter any comment right now due to the matter’s sensitiveness and foreign relation issue. She said, “TMC’s statement was given initially and I think this matter should be handled carefully by all. Moreover, Prime Minister Modi must clear his stand and then the opposition should be asked to comment over it. Instead of asking oppositions about their stands, the PM should be asked first. Why is he silent ?"
"Moreover, India always stands for humanity and whenever any attack on minorities happens, it condemns. The same would be done here too and protection of minorities in this country also should be looked into carefully”, said Sushmita Dev.
TMC organized a press meet today and said that TMC to start a block level mission to strengthen the party with the slogan of “Tripurar jonyo Trinamool”.
Also, the party criticized the BJP Govt for not allowing Abhishek Banerjee to organize a rally on 22nd September in a totally undemocratic manner.
