AGARTALA, December 24 (TIWN): To provide pension, Gratuity, leave salary, group insurance, LTC and other facilities to the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (TSECL) staffs, to frame Recruitment Rules (RR), along with five points charter of demands the Tripura Bidyut Utpadak Sramik Sangha. (TBUSS) today met the TSECL Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD) Shyamal Kumar Ray. Talking to TIWN today the TBUSS General Secretary Manoj Kumar Laskar alleged that the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (TSECL) has been recruiting the staffs without any Recruitment Rules (RR). The TSECL has been set up during the year 2005 and now it has been since 10 years that the TSECL has not framed any recruitment policy and has been recruiting the staffs without any proper policy, alleged Manoj Kr. Laskar.

Placing the five point charter of demands today the TBUSS also urged the TSECL CMD to make the TSECL gratuity ceiling to Rs. 10 lakhs as per the new amendment of Gratuity Act – 2010.

However, it is to be mentioned here that the state govt. leaving no stone unturned lacked behind from framing a recruitment policy in the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd.  (TSECL), though earlier the state govt. was ordered by the Tripura High Court to frame recruitment policy under the state education department.

It is also mentionable here that due to the illegal recruitment of the candidates and their induction under the education department the jobs of at least 10. 323 teachers are uncertain. And this seems to be no learned lesson for the state govt., when the TSECL has been recruiting staffs without any recruitment policy in the department.
