AGARTALA, Sep 28 (TIWN): Against the Anti-Judiciary remark of Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Tripura Trinamool Congress has lodged an online FIR to take the procedure through Court. The online FIR was lodged after East Agartala Police refused to lodge the complaint yesterday evening. Biplab Deb’s remarks have sparked massive criticism nationwide but so far no case was lodged in the Court, though demands from opposition and the public are high after the rarest Anti-Judiciary statement uttered by Chief Minister Biplab Deb.

Instead of apologizing, Chief Minister Biplab Deb said in his social media that he was misquoted but in his speech which are viral in social media he is clearing undermining the power of Judiciary and telling the Officials that even after someone is convicted in ‘Contempt of Court’ police will not arrest anyone as he controls police.

Biplab Deb also said, in a system, the Chief Person of the Govt which is he (as CM) is the highest authority, having the ultimate power and Court has no power like as CM.

However, East PS did not lodge the FIR and also another FIR was attempted to lodge against Section 144 violations, but as the Police officer on-duty at East PS escaped from the chair, TMC now has lodged an online FIR and in Court complaint will be raised against the police’s denial of lodging FIR.

In a press meet, TMC said that today Tripura Police does not have 10% power also.
