AGARTALA, Sep 15 (TIWN): Human Civilizations across the world have developed their own unique technique, invented equipment to make lives easier and nobody alone can be considered as the first engineer of the world including Imhotep who is assumed to craft the idea of pyramid and shaping it. But as per Tripura CM Biplab Deb it is Lord Viswakarma who is the biggest Engineer of the world. Faith, devotions are parts and parcel of this country, but in a secular country is it necessary for a Chief Minister to always give lectures based on personal religious faith when India has all communities' people in this profession. CM Biplab Deb was addressing on Engineer's day in Agartala when he commented so. However, Biplab Deb earlier said that "the internet was already invented in Mahabharata's era".
CM on Engineer's Day requested Engineers to work passionately, saying that he has full faith and admiration for the Engineers of the state.
"We can not turn Tripura into Switzerland in one day and for that we have to manage funds but whatever we have, utilization of the available equipment is the biggest challenge in this field", CM told Engineers.
India celebrates Engineer's Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the greatest Indian Engineer, Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, on September 15 every year. Engineer's Day is celebrated to pay rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Visvesvaraya who was regarded as the 'Father of Modern Mysore'. A prolific civic engineer, educationist, economist, scholar of the 20th century, Visvesvaraya made significant contributions in the field of engineering. However, UNESCO celebrates World Engineer's Day on March 4 annually. Engineer's Day is observed to acknowledge the efforts of various engineers who have made contributions in this field to make our present lives comfortable.
