AGARTALA, Sep 10 (TIWN): PB24 channel remained shut down more than a month forcefully by BJP led govt allegedly for its bold news broadcasting against ruling govt’s and expose of various corruptions. Its newspaper "Pratibadi Kalam" was also attacked many times by the BJP. On 8th September, BJP party workers organized attacks on Pratibadi Kalam’s office on, looted various essential items from the office and held attacks on journalists. Today West Bengal TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh who has arrived in Tripura visited Pratibadi Kalam’s office and slammed the BJP over the attack. He said, "I am not shocked that none has been arrested yet".

Ghosh said, “In West Bengal prior Assembly poll many channels published news against TMC and in support of BJP but no media house was attacked anywhere in Bengal”.

Media will work based on its policy, but for that attack on media houses is highly condemnable added he.

Ghosh slammed the culture of forceful shut down of news channels, news portals and attack on media offices in Tripura.

He said that the democracy of 4th pillar should be allowed to publish news with freedom.
