AGARTALA / KOLKATA, Sep 10 (TIWN): After witnessing massive barbarism of the BJP in his ofice, Pratibadi Kalam Newspaper Editor Anal Roy Chowdhury said, "All rulers' characters are same but such types of shocking attacks on media totally first ever". Barbaric attacks by BJP in Tripura is not new but national media never take much interest in Tripura news coverage like they did with big states like Bengal. Such incidents however revealed that amid the questionable role of India's Human Rights Commission, oppositions' losing trust over CBI, why during many attempts of Modi and Amit Shah to win Bengal, the Bengal voters rattled BJP's hopes and massively voted for Mamata Banerjee Government. Also, it raises the valid question, why in Bengal there are clashes of TMC only with BJP and not other parties like Congress, Communists ? BJP's violent political culture is the same and unchanged like Gujarat riot history of 2002. Tripura's incidents have shocked the public nationally how in broad daylight, people from the ruling party have destroyed the city's structure and no action took place against anyone. Moreover, the criminals are only roaming free but BJP high profile leaders are having open lunch, dinner with them. Overall, known as a peaceful state Tripura's image has been tarnished.
On 8th September, a rally was led by BJP leaders Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Kalyani Roy, Mohila Morcha President Papia Datta, Yuva Morcha leaders Nabadul Banik, Viki Prasad.
The rally stopped in front of Pratibadi Kalam newspaper and then two party offices of CPI-M and at last Daily Desher Katha newspaper office. One by one, these four offices were set on fire, all the vehicles, bikes, bicycles were burnt, stone pelting has injured many.
The BJP workers also attacked the police. So far no arrest of any BJP worker was done. The BJP leaders however are the prime accused persons for the political riot.
