AGARTALA, Sep 8 (TIWN): Once known as "Peaceful State" Tripura lost its all glory due to rapid rise of political attacks, murders, burning of public houses, opposition party offices. Today's Agartala incident has clearly recorded how in broad day light BJP goons attacked on media houses, Party offices generated heavy panic in this state. Violence has crossed its limits and at least 4 journalists were injured severely. All the political parties except BJP have condemned it and police had to impose lathi-charge at certain point, but so far no arrest was reported even after footages show clearly how BJP workers were attacking in media houses and party offices. 2 media houses - Pratibadi Kalam, Daily Desher Katha and two CPI-M party offices including party headquarter were set on fire, stone pelted by BJP kariyakartas with "Jai Sree Ram", "Bharat Mata ki Joy" slogans. The rally was led by BJP leaders Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Kalyani Roy, Mohila Morcha President Papia Datta, Yuva Morcha leaders Nabadul Banik, Viki Prasad.

The rally stopped in front of Pratibadi Kalam newspaper and then two party offices of CPI-M and at last Daily Desher Katha newspaper office. One by one, these four offices were set on fire, all the vehicles, bikes, bicycles were burnt, stone pelting has injured many.

The BJP workers also attacked the police. So far no arrest of any BJP worker was done.

The BJP leaders however are the prime accused persons for the political riot.  An FIR has been lodged against BJP leader Tinku Roy, Papia Datta and Rajib Bhattacharjee and many others.

Talking to media, Pratibadi Kalam Editor Anal Roy Chowdhury said, "A rally led by Mr Tinku Roy, Papia Datta, Rajib Bhattacharjee unprecedently attacked in our office. Our office was attacked, fire was set and then my car was burnt. I am shocked..........can't say anything now. I have tweeted CM, PM, Home Minister with video evidence. FIR has been lodged. The rulers' characters are the same but such attacks never happened earlier in the media. Our journalist Prasenjit Saha has been injured. He received 4 stitches. More four journalists are hospitalized", added Anal Roy Chowdhury.

Former CM Manik Sarkar said that such activities are outburst of BJP's weakness and TMC leader Sushmita Dev said, "BJP has crossed its all limits".
