UDAIPUR, Sep 8 (TIWN): In a political clash, one BJP member was injured after BJP started unprovoked attacks at CPI-M's programme. BJP members were seen destroying CPI-M's vehicles, party office which fueled the tension first and then CPI-M members counter-attacked on BJP. A footage had shown that a BJP worker who was throwing stones at CPI-M was beaten up with sticks 3 to 4 times and then police stopped the CPI-M workers but the BJP worker has received severe injuries and was undergoing tightness in breathing.He was immediately taken to hospital. On the contrary BJP claimed that BJP never attacked CPI-M first but CPI-M held the first attack on BJP. CPI-M former MLA Madhav Saha was seen scolding CPI-M party workers and pushed them inside the party office. The clash erupted during a programme of the DYFI, which is CPI-M's youth wing. The situation has been brought under control now.

Political tensions are increasing in Tripura as the 2023 poll is just 1 and half years left. CPI-M however declared that the party will not attack anyone but if CPI-M faces any problem for conducting programmes by miscreants, then counter-attack will be held if Police, Home Dept do not prevent the miscreants.
