AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): Due to Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath's irrational decisions, bureaucrats are now facing legal problems in Tripura. Such an incident was reported after Tripura Govt officers had to answer over a 'contempt of court' plea in the High Court about SSA teachers' regularization matter.

A contempt petition was filed in Tripura High Court by SSA teachers as even after High Court's order to regularize SSA teachers, within 6 months, Tripura Govt did not take any initiative to regularize them. Today after hearing the contempt petition, Advocate Soumik Deb reminded the media that an official can be jailed along with paying fines if contempt of court is testified.

On 23rd February, High Court Chief Justice Akil Kureshi in an order asked Tripura Govt to regularize the SSA teachers within 6 months but for 6 months, Tripura Govt did not take any step to regularize the teachers.

SSA teachers' contempt petition was heard by Chief Justice Akil Kureshi and Justice AG Chatterjee today and the bench has passed the order for regularization of SSA Teachers by 1 month.
