AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): Trinamool MP Santanu Deb who gave an ultimatum of 24 hours to CM Biplab Deb and his Govt to clarify the alleged scams of being Bank Guarantor for a Gujarat based private company and Group-C and Group-D recruitments allowing other states' youths to participate. As no statement came from either CM or his Govt, today MP Santanu Sen said that by silence the Govt has accepted that corruption happened in both processes and also the allegation over Group-C and Group-D recruitment is a fact. The Trinamool Congress MP yesterday had thrown a question to Chief Minister Biplab Deb whether it is true that Tripura Govt has become a guarantor of Rs. 500 crores for a Gujarat based company, seeking a reply by 24 hours.

Yesterday, MP Santanu Sen said, "As an MP, I would like to ask Tripura Govt about the light-house project which is underway at the Akhaura Checkpost area. The project was given to a company named 'Mitsumi Housing Private Limited' which has become a controversy. Critics also questioned the tendering system but my point is not there. My question is, whether it is true that Tripura Govt has become guarantor of Rs. 500 crores for this private company ? My question is for Tripura CM Biplab Deb and if it is not true then he must clarify by 24 hours or we will accept that it is true and if it is really true then it's cheating the people of Tripura".
