AGARTALA, Aug 12 (TIWN): The Student Federation of India (SFI) and Tribal Students Union (TSU) observed the 86th Foundation Day of AISF (All India Student Federation) on Thursday in Tripura.

It is known that about 77 years before the United Student Movement was started based on Communist ideology. The movement started in the year 1936 on August 12 at Lucknow with a purpose of scientific socialism. 

The SFI, TSU organized the programme with full enthusiasm by paying homage in Martyr altar, later wreath flowers and hoisted flag. SFI State Secretary, Sandipan Deb highlighted the background of this movement.
