AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar termed Biplab Deb Government 'Shameless', 'Idiotic', 'Unconstitutional' and 'scared of failure' while reacting over House arrest of I-PAC team since the day before yesterday.

"There's no rule of law in Tripura. A Jungle Raaj is going on is the state..............A team from another state came to Tripura to talk to the people, to understand the overall political atmosphere. This is their constitutional right ! How can a Govt stop them from talking to people? How can the Govt order House Arrest of them without any proper reason? This is completely an action out of stupidity, revelation of anti-people mentality and fear of failure." Said Sarkar.

He also asked the journalists to mention any such incident where the previous Left Government had House Arrested anyone who came to take ground report of the State ?

Reportedly, on yesterday A team of 23 members of Political Strategist Prashant Kishore's Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) was house arrested by the state police inside a city-based hotel during their visit to Tripura. 

After this news came out, opposition parties slammed the BJP led State Govt for keeping a renowned Political Strategist's team under a house arrest without any proper reason.
