AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has slammed Biplab Deb Govt over the House Arrest of I-PAC team members of political strategist and tactician Prashant Kishor at the Hotel Woodland Park in Agartala Math Chowmuhani. Addressing in a press meet, Manik Sarkar said that such stupidity is a direct reflection of Tripura BJP Govt's Failure, "Stupidity", "Shamelessness'', "Anti-People face" and its "Fear". He said such undemocratic steps are the outcomes of Biplab Deb Govt's panic about losing the 2023 poll. The former Chief Minister also raised the question, why in this state a District Magistrate does not take action when a BJP leader's marriage function causes thousands of gatherings at South Tripura violating Covid norms and the same District Magistrate had beaten up a priest in a marriage function when he was West District Magistrate ?

Sarkar added, "BJP has lost its all grounds in Tripura and as a result, they are so afraid about other parties and that fear caused the house arrest of I-PAC team". 

Unprecedented 'House Arrest' of Indian political strategist and tactician Prashant Kishor's I-PAC employees in Agartala's Hotel Woodland Park has been condemned by All India Trinamool Congress. MP Abhishek Banerjee reacting over the shocking house arrest of the I-PAC employees has tweeted, "The fear in BJP-Tripura before even AITC officials stepped into the land, is more than evident! They are so rattled by our victory in #Bengal that they've now kept 23 IPAC employees under house arrest. Democracy in this nation dies a thousand deaths under BJP's misrule!"

Regional Party in Tripura "Amra Bangali Party" has condemned the House Arrest of the I-PAC team members, calling it a reflection of fear of Biplab Deb Govt.   "We have no interest in the I-PAC team's arrival and their purpose because this nation is one and people of Tripura will go outside and other states' people will also come to Tripura. But by detaining them, what the Govt here has done it's unexpectable. It is fascism !", said the convener of the Amra Bangali party. 

The statements came amid the house arrest of Indian political strategist and tactician Prashant Kishore's team's detention in the Hotel Woodland Park in Agartala. The team reportedly came to take notes on Tripura's political temperament.
