Damchara: Clashes erupted among two groups centering land occupying issues

AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): Over land occupying issue clashes erupted between two groups Kawkaje in Damchara. Several houses were set on fire Centering the conflict over land disputes. Upon receiving the news of the clashes, a large number of police, TSR and CRPF led by SDPO rushed to the spot and deployed across the area. As the situation became more heated, BDO of the North District, Superintendent of Police, Additional SP, OC of the police station, rushed to the spot. Police fired 6 rounds and used tear gas to bring the situation under control.

Total 17 people were injured in this heated clash, later the injured people were taken to Damchara Hospital, and after initial treatment several people were released. Two critically injured were referred for better treatment. Centering the incident, panic situation erupted in the area. However, the administration is keeping an eye on the situation.

Reportedly,  after getting information a large number of police, TSR and CRPF led by SDPO rushed to the spot. Later the North District Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police, OC of the police station, BDO had to rush to the place as the situation became more heated . The conflict was over land disputes. 
 
It came to know that Several houses were set on fire. Police fired 6 rounds to bring the situation under control. According to police, about 17 people were injured in this incident. They were taken to Damchhara Hospital. Several people were released after initial treatment there. Two of them were referred to district hospital as their condition was critical. 
 
The administration is keeping an eye on the situation. This incident erupted a situation of tension in whole Damchhara area.
